Everyone agrees that in this post-millennial world our reliance upon technology continues to surprise even those who are most ardent about embracing change. Just about everyone, including kids as young as 10 years old has a cell phone. Combined with increasingly busy schedules, contacting someone the “old-fashioned” way to make or remind them about a dental appointment just wasn’t cutting it anymore. With that in mind, Brinkley Dental is proud to announce that we are now moving towards a more “user-friendly” dental experience with the introduction of Lighthouse.

Well, ok – the truth is we have always felt our friendly, family-oriented team has been “user-friendly.” We endeavour each and every day to make sure that your dental experience with us is a pleasant one. Now however, in addition to our awesome office staff, you will also be able to use technology as a means to ensure your entire dental experience including bookings, is just that little bit easier. Called the Lighthouse program, Brinkley Dental has begun using technology in a positive way – taking the confirmation of dental appointments out of the dark and into the light!

The Lighthouse program will serve to both confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments. Using email or text messaging, Brinkley will reach out to patients utilizing these two methods and the patient can then confirm their appointment without ever having to call the office. No more relying on “office hours” – instead patients can confirm appointments from the comfort of their living room couch, in their PJ’s while making the kids breakfast and lunches before school or even on their way home from work (on the GO train of course, never while driving!) As we said at the outset, we always want your experience with our staff to be a friendly one but we also want to make going to the dentist an easy process. Sometimes that means embracing technology and putting it to work in a way that makes your entire experience with us, from booking to bedside, a completely user-friendly one!

No more excuses. Your teeth are relying on you. With a cell phone handy or access to a computer, we’ll confirm your appointment with just a few clicks of a button, anytime day or night. This is just stage one of the Lighthouse program but we can’t wait to have you try it. Getting to the dentist has never been easier, let Lighthouse light the way – it’s just a click away!
